Introducing AT3:
Advanced Training for the Working Actor
AT3 is a brand-new program for advanced, professional actors ready to push past “good” and into unstoppable.
Led by Actor Therapy founders Lindsay Mendez and Ryan Scott Oliver, along with trusted master teachers, AT3 delivers direct, career-focused coaching and mentorship for artists working at the highest level.
AT3 is both material and project-based.
You’ll work on assigned material like a master class—while also tackling personal, career-building projects. Think: refining your website, strengthening your digital presence, strategizing next steps, and yes—even planning for long-term financial health (because artists deserve retirement, too).
AT3 answers the actor’s ultimate question:
“I know I’m talented… so why am I not booking major work?”
This class is built for two types of actors:
Long-time Actor Therapy alumni who’ve grown through our core and intermediate classes and are ready to level up.
Experienced professionals new to Actor Therapy—including those with Broadway and major regional credits—who want targeted, high-level feedback and strategy for this next phase of their career.
AT3 isn’t about starting over—it’s about leveling higher.
WHAT IS THE AT3 EXPERIENCE?
Every performer in AT3 sits firmly in the driver’s seat of their own career—but this time, with a clearer map and a stronger engine. In AT3, mentors who see your full potential provide a more inspiring, prescriptive roadmap to get you where you want to go. That also means taking class around your busy schedule — that’s right, you set your own schedule according to your needs.
AT3 is built for actors hungry to reach their next level—whatever that means for them. Each performer receives tailored guidance on both material (dream roles, songs, sides) and career strategy (the concrete projects and professional steps needed to bridge the gap between “here” and “there”).
Whether it’s fine-tuning this week’s callback packet, refreshing your audition book, or stepping into roles that align with your future goals, AT3 prepares you to meet every opportunity head-on—with clarity, confidence, and craft.

The program is for any performer who meets the class’s pre-requisites. There is no audition for AT3.
To enroll in the AT3 program, we ask that you meet at least FOUR of the following SIX pre-requisites:
Complete 3 sessions of Actor Therapy (including Rehearsal & Performance), or 1 intensive + 1 session of Actor Therapy.
Have prepared a complete, ready-to-sing rep book of 10–15 songs hitting main genres, including classic uptempo and ballad, radio uptempo and ballad, contemporary MT uptempo, Sondheim, folk/country, 50s/60s, and contemporary legit.
Have 3+ professional (paid) credits on your resume.
Be regularly auditioning in-person: at least 4x a month.
Be a member of AEA.
Have a B’way credit.
AT3 is not an exclusive class—anyone who meets the prerequisites is eligible (and encouraged!) to continue their journey with Actor Therapy through AT3. When you sign up for AT3 (below), you’ll indicate which pre-requisites you meet.
Unsure if you meet these prereqs? Email Ryan at RSO@Ryanscottoliver.com to discuss.

The AT3 experience begins with a thorough assessment of every element of your career. Before you begin, your mentors will review where you’re at and make a plan for your session.
We’ll take a look at your career, brand, and “package” as a whole. We’ll identify areas for improvement and help you with the steps you need to move forward. Among the many things we’ll look at and advise are:
Building or enhancing your website
Make sure your cuts are effectively filmed for social media and your website
Looking at your audition habits
Making sure your headshot fits you today
Strategizing your resume—are you telling casting what you’re right and ready for?
Building a business plan: your mission, vision, and values to guide your journey
Looking at your financial wellbeing, and exploring a business hustle
Creating your own performance opportunities
Finessing your networking skills
Looking at continued training
Helping you improve your time management
And so much more
While the performer will always have final say in the projects they want to tackle (and what they may be able to financially afford), the point of this class is identifying room for growth and coaching the performer to do just that.

Unlike regular AT, where performers take classes on the same day and time five weeks in a row, AT3 is an ongoing program where students choose their class times according to their schedule. We’ll designate a few times available each week and students sign up first come, first served.
If you can’t make the set times in the week, you can work on AT3 assignments during regular classes (alongside performers at an earlier stage of their careers).
-
AT3 is $499 for five classes and weekly mentorship, including all the other perks of Actor Therapy: readings, biz class, community events, and concert eligibility. You have three months to use up all your five classes.

I’ve never taken AT before but I’ve worked a lot. How do I qualify?
This class is actually designed for you! If you’ve worked a great deal and you’ve got the credits, we assume you’ve got a strong audition book, are auditioning regularly, and are likely AEA. You qualify!
Why is the complete rep book part of your pre-requisites? I don’t use my book anymore.
A complete rep book is an important step for any artist to define their brand for both themselves and their industry. While you may not be using it much anymore, even the most well-known actors occasionally have to bring it out—whether to meet casting in another industry, or even plan a concert. We want to make sure yours isn’t just collecting dust, so we ask that you bring it every class, and we may ask you to sing from it—just as casting occasionally will.
Some of the pre-reqs are subjective or confusing. How will you determine if I’ve met them?
We aren’t the police! Ahh! Performers will self-assess. We will ask you about your ongoing auditions and regularly ask you to sing from your book.
This sounds pretty rigorous! What happens if a performer can’t meet the demands of the class?
You’re right, it is a lot of work—but that’s the point! If you (or we) find that you can’t fulfill the requirements of the class, we may urge you to return to our regular AT programming until you’re ready to move back to AT3.
AT is such a safe, community-driven place. I worry that creating a program for “advanced” performers creates a hierarchy of performers who are “better than others.”
Actors take AT because they want to compete at the highest level in a business that is intensely driven by hard work and achievement. They want to get an agent, join Equity, book major roles, and one day, hopefully book Broadway. In AT3, we want to encourage performer advancement past book-building and career basics (which so many early-career artists need to spend ample time on). AT3 intends to continue the journey of every performer who is willing to work hard enough to advance past our regular courses.
Why are you creating AT3?
We acknowledge that many of our most hardworking performers might eventually feel that they’ve moved past many of the concepts explored in our regular classes. They may also want a class with performers who share their experience and are pushing the same personal boundaries they’re looking to push.
We also realize that many outside performers have the misconception that Actor Therapy is only for recent college graduates or people who are just starting out. This class meets their experience with exciting opportunity.
Got all of that? Are you ready to endeavor on the next stage of your career? Apply at the link below, and we’ll get back to you within a week for next steps.
