FIND YOUR FUNNY:

AN ACTOR THERAPY x THE LAUGHTER COLLECTIVE COLLAB

ACTOR THERAPY and The LaughtHER Collective are thrilled to offer a comedic seminar aimed at helping auditioners explore their authentic comedic voices

Comedy has a way of shining a light on the absurdities of life, and that light can feel illuminating and unsettling. In other words, we understand that the idea of “trying to be funny” can feel polarizing. The truth is: everyone has a comedic voice inside of them.

Comedy, like confidence, is a skill that can be learned and cultivated. The hands-on activities in this workshop will give you tangible comedic tools to create impactful and grounded performances that casting directors will remember.

You will leave knowing:

  • The LaughtHER Collective's basic principles of comedy, comedic genres & how to weave them into your work.

  • How to organically discover and hone your authentic comedic persona

  • Ways to feel more confident when making bold comedic choices in auditions

This class is EXCLUSIVE to Current Actor Therapy Students and recent Actor Therapy alums.

While The LaughtHER Collective's overall mission seeks to amplify Womxn+ & underrepresented voices, ALL are welcome to participate in this one-of-a-kind opportunity!

The enrollment fee for this three-hour course is $75.

This class will be held at Open Jar Studios.
