Are you anxious to get back into a room with creative minds and work on material in a more serious performance opportunityI Do you love 35MM: A MUSICAL EXHIBITION? Would you be interested in working with the creator on your favorite songs from the show—and having your work filmed for your website and social media?

If so, Actor Therapy has a class for you.

CLASS STRUCTURE

The class will be offered in-person only at Open Jar Studios, on Mondays from 4:00pm–6:00pm, between April 12 and May 10.

Students will receive:

  • The full PDF score of 35MM: A Musical Exhibition (for their personal use only).

  • An accompaniment track for their rehearsal and future use.

  • 5 coaching sessions with Ryan Scott Oliver on their assigned song(s).

  • A video recording of their final performance for their personal use.

Week 1: Mock Audition (April 12)

Students will perform a cut (or two) from their book as if they were auditioning for a professional production of 35MM. Following class, Ryan Scott Oliver will assign each student one or more songs from the show to work on, including at least one solo/lead vocal, and potentially some group work as well.

Between Weeks 1 and 2

Students will receive sheet music and tracks to their songs and will be asked to learn the material on their time. Students in groups may wish to get together to rehearse.

Weeks 2-4: Work Sessions (April 19, 26, May 3)

Students will work on their material with Ryan Scott Oliver.

Week 5: “Dress” rehearsal and Filmed Mock Performance (May 10)

Class begins with a final dress rehearsal of the material for final notes and concludes with a mock performance, filmed for the students’ use following class.
