ACTOR THERAPY presents
A TRANS & G.N.C. ARTIST FORUM

WITH PRESTON MAX ALLEN & L MORGAN LEE

A Symposium for Trans, Non-Binary and Gender-Non-Conforming Artists,
their Allies, and their Educators

FRIDAY, AUGUST 21ST FROM 6PM-8PM (ET)

Musical theatre writer Preston Max Allen and actress L Morgan Lee will discuss the unique challenges facing trans, Nonbinary and GNC actors in today’s musical theatre and ask the pressing questions that can help guide early-career Trans, Nonbinary, and GNC actors through the business—both their dreams and their fears—and share effective strategies for honing their craft, telling their stories, and doing the work. The forum seeks to uplift its audience and to remind trans and non-binary actors they are enough, and much like life, their journeys are ever-evolving.

This online conversation will include a Q&A with our special guests in a safe, inspiring space. Queer writer and Actor Therapy co-founder Ryan Scott Oliver will moderate.

The forum is free for all.
Reservations can be made by emailing actortherapy@gmail.com,
subject: Queer Forum.
Please include in your email whether you are a trans or non-binary artist, a cisgendered ally, or an educator (trans or cis).  A Zoom link will be sent out to all registered attendees on the day of the event.

L MORGAN LEE is an NYC based actress and seeker of light. Her performance in the Pulitzer Prize Award winning musical, A Strange Loop garnered her an OBIE Award (Special Citation) as well as a Lucille Lortel Award Nomination for Outstanding Featured Actress in a Musical. This gives L Morgan the incredible distinction of being the first openly trans actor to originate a role in a Pulitzer Prize winning piece of theatre. On camera, she was recently one of the faces of the Samuel Adams: Love Conquers All campaign in partnership with GLAAD. L Morgan is dedicated to being a part of new work that both gives voice to marginalized groups and challenges the tropes that society has become too used to consuming. "Live your life and tell your story...truthfully and without fear." lmorganlee.com  | @lmorganlee
